Pastor Jim and Karyl Davis came to the seacoast area in March 2014 from Las Vegas, NV. They are so excited and blessed that God led them to “plant” Great Bay Calvary Church. They take seriously the vision to Go into the community and the whole world; to Tell all about the love of Jesus Christ; and to Live a full and meaningful life, committed completely to God. They have four adult children, two of which are married. They have also been blessed with seven grand kids.

We envision a church that respects, values and studies the Bible regularly, and whose altars are filled with lost, pre-believers giving their lives to Christ.
We envision a church where authentic, passionate, Spirit-filled worship and prayer is a way of life, in and outside of the worship services.
We envision a church that is dependent on the leadership of the Holy Spirit, and the gates of hell cannot prevail against it.
We envision a church where people are drawn from difficult or impossible situations and are transformed by the Spirit of God, and completely enfolded by a loving family of believers.
We envision a church where believers from all walks of life, and all ages, gather to learn, worship, serve, belong, and have eternal impact for Christ wherever they go.
We envision a church that is committed to sharing and supporting the Good News of Christ in various traditional and nontraditional God-honoring ways throughout the community, state, nation and world.
We envision a church that believes that Christ is returning soon, and therefore acts accordingly.
We envision a church whose father is God, whose head is Jesus Christ, whose help is the Holy Spirit, and whose focus is the Great Commission.

We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all.
We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired without error in the original manuscripts, and the infallible rule of faith and practice.
We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings; His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and personal, visible return to earth.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, Who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ; we believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all the biblical gifts of the Spirit.
We believe that all people are sinners by nature and choice and, therefore, are under condemnation; that God regenerates by the Holy Spirit, those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord; that Jesus Christ baptizes the seeking believer with the Holy Spirit and power for service, often subsequent to regeneration.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the Church: 1) Baptism, and 2) The Lord’s Supper. We believe in Baptism by immersion and Communion open to all believers.
We believe also in the laying on of hands for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, for ordination of pastors, elders, and deacons, and for receiving gifts of the Spirit.
We believe in the personal, visible return of Christ to earth and the establishment of His Kingdom, in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment.

We value solid teaching from the Bible, God’s authoritative Word (2 Timothy 3:16). Therefore, we will do everything possible to teach under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, with integrity and insight in order to evangelize the lost and develop believers.
We value prayer as a means of communion and intimacy with God through Jesus Christ (Philippians 4:6-7). Therefore, prayer is an essential component in every aspect of the ministry, and to the church recognizing the sovereignty of God.
We value worship that is Spirit-filled, genuine, and pleasing to God (Romans 12:1-2). Therefore, we are committed to acknowledging God’s supremacy and worth in our individual lives, as well as corporately, with an authentic and relevant worship service.
We value biblical community where people are able to minister to, and love one another (Acts 2:44-46). Therefore, all people are invited to participate in small groups and various areas of ministry and service to experience this sense of community, and grow in the Lord.
We value lost people because God does (Luke 19:10). Therefore, we will use every God-honoring means to locate, win and disciple lost people for Christ in our community, state, nation, and the world.
We value service and mobilization of the entire church community (Ephesians 4:11-13). Therefore, we seek to equip all people to effectively accomplish the work of our ministry on a regular basis.
We value giving our best service to God, because He gave His best, the Savior (Colossians 3:23-24). Therefore, we will seek to honor Him by maintaining a high level of excellence in ministry.
